Experience the Northern Lights from the Lodge

Here, you’ll find an oasis of tranquility and breathtaking, untouched nature. There’s no need to go on a Northern Lights hunt – you can often see it right from the windows in the cabins, or outside from the sauna, jacuzzi, or a cozy bonfire on a clear autumn or winter evening.

Travel Options

Rental Car

You can rent a car from several agencies in and around Tromsø Airport. The drive to Senja Arctic Lodge takes approximately 3.5 hours.

Combination of Airport Shuttle and Express Boat

1. Airport Shuttle: Take the airport shuttle to Tromsø Harbor Terminal at Prostneset (near the city center and Clarion Hotel The Edge).
2. Express Boat: From Prostneset, take the express boat (line 2) to Finnsnes, with a travel time of about 1 hour and 20 minutes. We will pick you up in Finnsnes and ensure return transport.

Return by Hurtigruten

A great option for the return journey is to take Hurtigruten from Finnsnes at 11:30. This route lets you experience part of Norway’s most beautiful coastal voyage on a cruise ship. Onboard, you can enjoy restaurants and take scenic photos from the deck. The journey to Tromsø takes about 3 hours. More information is available at fylkestrafikk.no and hurtigruten.no.

Bus Alternative

If you prefer land travel, you can take a bus between Tromsø and Narvik daily. We can pick you up at Buktamoen and provide transport to the lodge. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours in total.

Arctic Route Bus Connection

For a smooth journey between Tromsø and Senja, Arctic Route offers comfortable bus trips through Senja Direct, with scenic views along the way. Bus tickets can be purchased on Senja Direct’s website for a scenic trip to the lodge.

Direct Airport Transfer

It’s also possible to arrange a transfer directly from Tromsø Airport to Senja Arctic Lodge. Feel free to contact us to arrange transport that suits your needs.
